i'm on a little vacay...from makin' coffee and being a mom...i have a week off from sbux and we dropped off nic in arizona for a week of volleyball on saturday...we will return to phoenix on wednesday afternoon, but till then...my days are filled with creativity and relaxation...just what i needed!!!
so, what did i do today? i took the pup for a long walk, i cleaned the house (not too industriously though), and then...i played...with my current favorite paper...cosmo cricket's earlybird...
first up...a little something i picked up from the thrift store a while back...
the $5.95 wee chest of drawers before...and, after:
with a bit of patterned paper, ready-set-chip board, buttons, ribbon, tiny attacher, copics, ivory crochet thread, frayed burlap distress ink, and some adhesives...here is what you get!

and, then, there are these...
a few cards that i 'threw' together with scraps from the box...in case you didn't notice on the drawers, take a look here...i used copic markers to color some of the black and white images in the paper line...it's a fun, neat trick for customizing papers...
and, finally, this:
again, using some of the scraps from the box...i made a tag for a jar of homemade corn salsa i made for the hostess of a bbq we are heading to on 4th of july...to make the tag look more 'authenitic' (LOL) i punched out a half inch circle over a 1/4 inch circle punched in cardstock and adhered it over another 1/4 inch circle punched in my tag...love the look of this...
well, hope you enjoyed the results of my fun today...i have BIG plans to play some more tomorrow!

Too cute! I love that paper, too. It's one I wish I had bought more of. Your box redux is adorable. Is it a cardboard box? And you didn't include your recipe for the corn salsa. :(

And I'm a bit envious of the vacay! hee hee! Your kid is at least old enough to fend for herself...my oldest is only 7! lol.
