maybe it is my gypsy blood, or just being in touch with my girlie side...but i love me some glitter...
i have collected a few salt/pepper shakers during my Sunday Junkin' so i could make 'em all purdy and fill 'em with glitter...you saw the results collectively yesterday, but i thought i would share more details today...
first up...Hopes & Dreams...who doesn't need a little jar of that??? I covered a chipboard ampersand from my stash with glossy accents and glittified it, the hope is cut from an adage ticket and inked with walnut stain distress ink, i used a pitch black paint dabber on the word key and added a bauble (aka pearl)...all tied up with twine and tulle...
this little cutie also has a word cut from an adage ticket added onto another chipboard piece from my stash...i made one of the fantabulous rosettes and cut it down before assembling so it was a wee one (can't wait to get my hands on the new die coming soon!!!)...i inked everything up with vintage photo this time...just a simple trimmings bow and she's all done...
my favorite word...needed a little snowcap paint dabber action to stand out and i used the technique Tim Holtz used on this tag for the numerals (LOVE IT!!!)...i didn't have white UTEE so I used clear over the snowcap paint dabber and the effect is similar (did i mention I LOVE THESE???)...i set the charm clip over a vintage disneyland 'A' ticket and filled 'er up with glossy accents...the star charm got a swipe of pumice stone distress stickles (click the photo for a close up!)...finally, the facet was done with a piece of vintage music sheet and a blue chip stamp layered over a journal ticket...everything tied all up with linen string and scrunched seam binding...
this lil' guy makes my heart happy!! again, i glittified the heart with glossy accents and this time vintage glass glitter (be still my heart), the ticket from the Odds & Ends stamp set was inked up with black soot and barn door distress ink...then i inked the tag with walnut stain...a few wee staples with my tiny attacher and more twine...i'm in love...
i may or may not have saved my favorite for last...pitter patter...the word stick got a touch of snowcap paint dabber and while i was at it, i went ahead and did the same to the locket key set (cinderella anyone?)...a bauble...and a little layering of seasonal paper stash and more of that vintage 'A' ticket...the final touch is a bow...tulle and a bow...
the bow...you ask? stamped and died seam binding, of course...i'll be doing more of that soon and will show ya how fun it is!!!
I hope you enjoyed my little glitterfest...they look so perfect on the shelf in my studio...they will be inspiring me a whole lot!!
Be Sparkly!
