no, we are not going to discuss it...we are just moving on...
(and, yes, the train has left the funkitown depot...sometimes you have to pull yourself up by the bootstraps and say goodbye to the funk you've been in)
now, on with it...
the Inpsiration Emporium September Monthly Challenge: abc 123 School Time Fun was hardly a challenge...i have always loved school...school supplies, text books, notebooks, rulers, and lunch boxes...love it all...
i was such a little book worm...it is THE thing that i worked at instilling in my daughter...i read to her before she was even born! Nic loves books, loves to write, and loves quotes...
so i was inspired to create a tag for a fictitious inspirational teacher...a teacher that nurtures the love of reading, a teacher that stretches the imagination, and developes dreamers...
when i work on new surfaces, i have to dirty them up...it's in my nature...so Frayed Burlap Distress Stain and water are the foundation on the tag AND the library card...and the ribbon!
one of my favorite stamping techniques when layering is using the rubber cling mount with no Grid Block and just tapping it, rolling it, using it like a taco...perfect in it's imperfection (kinda like me!)...
and, see that muse token?...i made it pop with a Snow Cap Paint Dabber...love that...
after i cut the letters out of card stock, i cut them out of chipboard and layered them...stamped them with some numbers and inked the edges...the paint dabber made another appearance along with a stencil...to get rid of the crispness, i laid a piece of scrap paper over the wet paint and peeled it off...it is a great look
last little details...and it all comes together!
so...i have a question...have you ever timed yourself? i don't know why, but tonight, i did! i was curious...from start to finish, how long would it take me...
start to finish...a few things to note:
i clean up as i go, i like my surface clear...i drank a whole Very Berry Via Refresher...i applied my favorite Coconut Lip Smackers Lip Balm, once...and gave my favorite pup kisses, twice...
thanks for coming by...i love to have you visit!

happy to see you back! I love your mad skillz at distressing things!! This is wonderful!
