All I Want For Christmas Card

howdy! welcome back! i am so happy to share another card i created for the Tim Holtz Holiday 2017 Inspiration Series.  i have really loved all of the amazing projects...be sure to head over to Tim's instagram and blog to get your inspirational fix!

the carved stamp sets released by Tim Holtz and Stampers Anonymous this year are all so fun and super easy to put together for quick cards. here i used the Carved Christmas 1 and Mini Carved Christmas stamp sets.

i stamped the background using distress inks in festive berries and evergreen bough.  i used my stamp platform to stamp the images several times to get a deep color...it works so so well!

the black stars are done with black soot ink, an ink blending tool sponge (a round one, kinda folded like a taco) inked through a taped off Starry stencil...meaning, i taped off an area where i could just ink one star and moved my stencil around.  i inked it really well to get a deep color.

i used a detail water brush to color the saying in the stocking after stamping with black archival ink...sometimes i color all the words and other times, i leave one word white to pop...here i did Christmas a different color to stand out.

i have a mad obsession with the Alpha Parts Frozen snowflakes with clear rock candy glitter...so i added them along with a die cut snowflake behind my popped up focal image.

then just a simple crinkle ribbon bow and then layer it all together...simple, sweet, and a holiday favorite of mine.

thank you for joining the fun!

What a cool card! I love the colour combo.

Really love this card! Especially the "non traditional" color scheme.
