Creativations 2018 - Tim Holtz Blog Hop and Give Away
February 02, 2018
welcome folks! i am so glad you are here!
i am so happy to be part of the Creativations 2018 - Tim Holtz Blog Hop and Give Away...there are so many amazingly talented folks in this group of artists! from here, you will head on over to the incredible Zoe Hillman's blog...have fun and show her some love! read to the bottom for the give away details!!!
one of my favorite stamps from the new release is Glorious Bouquet CMS325...it is so detailed and versatile. it's great how you can choose what areas of the stamp are perfect for your project.
i started out by stamping the part of the flowers i wanted to use vertically on a piece of patterned paper from the Paper Stash Memoranda. i used the Stamping Platform to stamp the image twice with Archival black ink.
for coloring, i chose to do a base of Distress Oxide Ink using a detail water brush. i dried the ink with a heat tool in between colors...
this is what the base looks like...pretty, but then i added the depth. the distress oxide ink makes for a great base for coloring with markers...
on the left, is one layer of coloring with a detail water brush and Worn Lipstick Distress Marker...on the right, is a second layer of coloring...
and, the final pop with a lil marker to paper coloring! you can see how the pink flower now pops...
here is another look at the steps on the leaves using Peeled Paint Distress Markers...i love the depth of the leaves on the left of the bottom picture.
here is a look at the final colored image. to finish the card, i sewed the image layer to card stock and layered on the card base. a simple black cotton thread bow finished off the simple card.
thank you for stopping by on the blog hop, enjoy the rest of the hop!!!
