set o' thanks

feeling thankful apparently!  i have been inspired by several bloggers out there to make a set of thank you cards...either as a stash to send out with orders or as a set for a friend (i gave her a provo tin filled with cards a few years ago for her birthday and she loved it...she is one of those that sends thank you cards out consistently).  i knew i wanted to use three things for sure...1) my prints pack from stampin' up!  2) live your dream stamp set from stampin' up!  3) some fun ribbons that i tend not to use...either from my hoarding tendencies or from lack of know, those pattern ones or multi color stripes that are adorable???

well, mission accomplished! all three ingredients used and 10 thank you cards to add to the stash...xcept, i kinda love them and think i now need to hoard these:

oh, sorry...guess you would like a better look...sorry, couldn't resist that it!!
how can something so simple be so stinkin' cute? i really love them...A LOT!  just in case you need a better look...
there...a close up!  and, here is the humble beginning...
i started with the print paper, then picked a ribbon that went well with it, thus making way for a matching card stock that brought out a color in the ribbon...worked great!  they are all on a base of papertrey ink's stamper's select white card stock (love, love, love it) was easy to assemble them once i got the basic sketch planned out...simple, quick, adorable...yay!!

a home of their own

so, you know how you are supposed to visualize something and it kinda sorta happens in life??? well, do you think that if i build it they will come? copics, that is...i figure my heart's desire is lotsa i also figure if i build them a home (i really am thinking small when you see the 'home'....i am not asking much...really...) they will come...right????

see???? not even a BIG home...just asking a little not a lot...will let you know how it goes on the 'they will come' part!  remember this post, where i mention a love of fancy pants crush paper? we always hope that a need does not arise for one of these cards...but, it does...and, then it all seems to get into least it does for me...

a friend lost her mother yesterday, makes me appreciate mine all the more...i am so blessed...

i used a sketch from my idea book that was designed by beate some time ago...while i made this card, i also did three others...omitting the sentiment so i can add one that is appropriate when the card is needed (also hoping i won't need that sentiment again)...

i keep a stack of sentiment stamps right on my workspace so they are handy when adding a sentiment to a card...

i also have my favorite swirl stamps i often use and my all time favorite background stamp from stampin' up! is great as a background or to use just one or two words from on a card...

hope your day is wonderful, and remember to take a sec to put it all into perspective!

su!: very vanilla cs, au chocolat dp, close to cocoa ink & cs, warmest regards stamp set, very vanilla taffeta ribbon, tag & ticket corner punch, paper piercing set
