got baby boy?

so, i don't know anyone that has had, is having, is thinking about having a baby boy...but, i made this card cause i wanted to! guess it will end up on etsy...unless some one i know out there is having a baby...boy...soon...any takers? i could use some baby boy lovin's...

i made this for the SCS sketch challenge today...great layout!

and, since i used so many punches on the card, i decided to share how i store them...i bought this cabinet at the barn:

i knew when i saw it that it would be perfect for this:

all of the drawers hold punches...and i just grab what i want and leave the drawer open...grab the next one...and replace when i am all like a freakin' charm!

btw...the paint job? existed when i found it...and, it was PERFECTION!!! i love rustic, sanded, worn pieces...if you haven't noticed by now!!!

happy day to you, folks!

day of rest...

...and, a little crafting...

we spent our sunday relaxing, swimming, and enjoying family...and, there was a touch of crafting...we moved in to our home almost a year ago and i have yet to hang the pictures in the hall...the 'look at her grow wall'...well, today was the day for this...

in our last house i had different frames but a lot of them seemed to be oak frames...i knew i wanted to paint them...and i wanted is the before:

...some paint, sandpaper, sealer and a few nails later:

love it! see that spiffy family above the pictures??? that is the brand spankin' new decor elements from Stampin' Up! learn more here about them...or let me know if you want more info on them...they are really cool vinyl artwork for your walls...this is one of three i ordered...i will share what i do with the others when i have them up!

here is another pic of the picture wall so you can see how the frames came out...i just painted them random acrylic paint colors, let them dry, then sanded them...the hubster helped out and sprayed the matte sealer on them and and helped me hang them...

hope your weekend was great!

today is my mother-in-law's birthday (also my allie girl's...our first pupster turns 10 today!) so, i made her this patriotic themed card:

yep! another cute!! i also made another card exactly the same, except i crossed off have and wrote had on a larger sentiment piece of white cs...that way i could leave a thank you card on the desk of our friends...they are making their famous ribs for the big she-bang!!!

Silveranniv this card is lovely in person...i am really happy with how it came out! i think replacing the silver with the bride's (let's face it, she IS the one to pick the colors!!) choice of colors would be ideal for a wedding card too!
