birthday boy...

...well, actually, man...

my man

happy birthday honey!!! enjoy your day!!!

the said man leaves today for a few days with 'the boys'...heading to AZ for guess what...opening day of dove hunting...whooo hooo...NOT!! ewwww...whatever makes him happy...

he has shotguns & feathers and i have stamps & give some and take some, right ladies???

here is the card and present i gave the ol' man today...

the paint bucket, i bought at an antique store recently...yes, i know, A LOT of you probably have something like this just sitting around the barn, house, basement...whatever...your trash, my treasure! you also would not believe how much i paid for this little bit-o-trash...but, i love it and i certainly hope my painterboy loves it too!!!

and, here it is living in it's new to an old paint thinner jug i bought him for another birthday...again, love it...i love to find vintage paint and construction themed things for his office...

here is the card a little closer...yes, it is supposed to look like that...a little tattered, worn, with paint on it...just the way he likes it!!  the pencil writing is to make fun of how he writes notes on anything that will hold still on the job...he has been known to hand me some funny stuff with important things written on them...2 by 4's, sand paper, napkins, etc...whatever he can grab quickly...

i messed up everything i put on this card and the picture doesn't do it really is fun...

well, happy sunday!!! relax, enjoy yourself and your family! and, for those lucky enough to have tomorrow off...happy labor day!!! not me...i will be up and makin' your coffee at 4!!!

...venti plus one...

that's how long it has been since i posted!!! really??? i just can't believe it has been 21 days since i spoke at you!!

lots has happened with me, how bout you?

let's see...what have i been up to...

i have been working and playing...watching nic play volleyball and visiting the east coast...relaxing by the pool and doing know, all that stuff that you have been up to! :)

we spent over a week in maine and a few days in boston...maine being one of my favorite places in the's a couple pictures to help explain why (not to worry, i have crafted today and there is a project at the end of this post if you want to skip ahead!!!):

one of the lighthouses we visited this time and on other visits...they make my happy...the history, the romance, the solitude, the beauty...speaks to me...

a scene from one of my favorite places in maine...stonington...a true lobster (that's labstah on the east coast!) town...lovely! and, home to yet another adorable lighthouse...

yep, i am one of those CRAZY people that think moose are CUTE!! dumb, but cute!! most mainers think they are ugly...ummm...not! so stinkin' cute! we spotted this one on the way home from a fabulous drive and dinner to moosehead lake...delicious lobster rolls and lobster stew...yummmmm...

did i mention i ate lobster just about every day? the first stop off the plane was breakfast where i had lobster eggs benedict..oh how fantastic that was!!!

ok, won't keep you...that is a little bit of our travels...working on a scrapbook for the couple we traveled with this time 'round...will share more when i post pics of that!

as for the project i worked on today...i made a new birthday calendar (my old one is from 1999 i think...time for something new)...

i printed the monthly pages on PTI stamper's select cardstock and trimmed them up...

the clipboard is one i had in my stash, from my LSS i am sure...the paper, die cuts, brads, and flowers are all from the collection by making memories...i love how this came will hang next to my desk so i have a visual of upcoming birthdays and anniversaries...maybe i will get those cards in the mail on time!!

i also used PTI ribbons, SU! on board is below...

hope your coming week is wonderful! i have some things to catch up on and i really hope to be better with posts!!

other ingredients:
mod podge, sanding blocks, sticky strip, pop-up glue dots, mini glue dots...the circles in the middle of some of the flowers are punched from flowers with my 1/2" SU! circle punch...just to add a little...i wanted all the centers to be the same color...the flowers were busy enough!

three fer

so, since you were so patient with is your reward...three cards...i had these three images sitting on my desk left over from other projects...figured i would whip them into cards for the sale are the results:

love this girl!

i really can't get enough of this little fellow! a total joy to color!

bet you were expecting another cupcake!! :) nope, this time you get the whole cake!
love the warm colors of this!

i used all scrap papers on these, do you like what i did with my leftovers? three birthday cards in no time at all...well, a little time...but really easy and fast!

happy sunday! four more days till lobster morning, noon, and night!!!!!!!! yayyyy!!!!

no ingredients, please send along a message if you have a question, please!

well, hi there! how have you been? i have been great! just not having much creative time...i suppose i could check in with you whether i had a project to share or not...would you like that? do you miss me when i'm not here?

i am having a little 'thingy' tomorrow...a stamp/scrap garage sale type thing...gotta make some room in the craft room for the new things coming out from stampin' up!  i made this notebook to centralize the mailing lists i have...some are on the computer, some are hand written notes, some are drawing entry forms from workshops...this way, they are all together and each event i have, people can add their info here and i can check them off once i add them to the database on the computer...i love looking through the old mailing list books from my shop when it was open...some people left really sweet comments about the store next to their that!

i gathered all the materials from my inspiration station...since it was all things i love...i really, really adore this paper from making memories...{note}worthy is my all time favorite...and, i want to eat that ribbon up!!!

well, if you want to be added to the list, email your details...i send out a monthly newsletter as well as dates of my card classes...snail mail is usually stampin' up! catalogs and information or RAK's!!

happy saturday!!! only FIVE more days till we are on a plane to MAINE!!! whooo hoooo!!! can't wait!!!
